Bing Ocean Liner Ship from Germany- Series II for Sale *SOLD*

Bing Ocean Liner Ship from Germany- Series II for sale

One of our favorite Gebruder Bing ships has just sailed in!  It is an early 20th century Series II windup ship that is a prized toy.

The black and red exterior is pinstriped & highlighted with a very metallic gold paint. The early Bing trademark is affixed on top along with the three stacks and removable bridge (for seeing the windup mechanism and oiling).

Condition on the top white paint is only good, as there is a large set of flakes near the trademark.  Hull red paint appears to have about 2% touchups but otherwise appears original.  The white stateroom paint  has some flaking as seen in the photos.  Then the deck is in good condition with the brown/mustard paint.

Our model is valued for its sleek lines and near 20″ length.  Its clean no-rail sides elicit looks and similarities to the soon-to-be Art Deco movement.  Clean & simple & architectural lines…

Windup mechanisms and the propeller properly work.
