Our crank piston is a Scientific instrument and toy at the same time.  It had a demonstration destiny in a classroom, then has been held by a toy collector for decades.  His estate was based in Florida.

The crank moves the piston back and forth and then one can see how valves would allow air in and out.  The entire scientific model is a heavy cast, made in Chicago, and then comes with its original label and paintwork; both are in near new condition.

This is a very unique toy or demonstration model that will fit well in a steam engine collection.  It can even be a decorator piece, and something of a conversation piece for industrial design and vintage collectors.
