Felix The Cat Scooter Toy by Nifty- Tin Litho Wind-Up 

Our iconic Felix toy wants to scoot into your collection.  It is a shiny red and yellow toy with contrasting black and white felix.

Felix’s action works perfectly, and causes him to rock back and forth as you scoot him across the floor.  The handle also rocks back and forth as if he is powering the scooter.

The black on Felix is extra perfect, so we suspect a professional restoration.  We have inspected the toy under black light and the work does not show up.  So we will mark it as expertly restored as a precaution.

Nifty claims ownership of this toy, but it was actually made by Marx toys in the USA around the 1930’s.  Toy is slightly under 8″ long.

Then the wholesaler and distributior was likely George Borgfeldt & Co. New York City, New York 1881 – 1962.
