1930’s Popeye the Pilot Aeroplane Tin Windup *SOLD*

Description

We have a beautiful folded tail variation of Popeye the Pilot for sale.  Popeye’s plane #47 was made by Marx and is a great lithograph where the guide wheel under the tail wobbles.  Size is about 8 1/2″ long, 5 1/2″ tall, and the wingspan is about 8″.

This eccentric plane takes a small push to start, but goes forward then backwards and then repeats.  Popeye’s head tips forward and backward in operation.
