Our red jelly bean robot is about as adorable as they come.  This 1974 era live action robot comes from Japan and is a key character in the namesake Japanese kids TV show.

Our DX or deluxe version toy here comes with cartoon slides that rotate inside the chest via gears that are connected to the propeller.  The entire inside has a plastic cover to see all the intricate details.

Then outside the toy is a glossy red and black diecast exterior.  Arms and legs are a slightly bendable metallic pipe.  The radar is a chrome plated accent that rotates behind the back when not needed.

Our toy comes with original box, styrofoam, and white tricycle with horn.  The hand grips have a split in them.  The tires and wheels are well preserved.  Hands have some faded gold plating.  Feet have light wear as shown and light chipping.  Condition is all original.

Popy Robocon is a key future-antique from the early 1970’s.  Between the diecast and detailing, it is a sought after toy and iconic Japanese character.
