Yatter Bull Gokin Toy by Takatoku Japan *SOLD*

Yatter Bull Gokin toy by Takatoku Japan for sale

This is a mouthful to say, but it all distills down to this– quirky Japanese toys.  We get a morphing of a robot and a bull dog.  -Seriously, this is a hand stand making robot Bulldog that shoots missiles from its mouth and has a microphone.  -And a hat.  -And a quirky anime series to go with it.

Yatterman (Japanese: ヤッターマン Hepburn: Yattāman) is a Japanese anime television series broadcast from January 1, 1977 to January 27, 1979, comprising 108 episodes. It is the second and longest show in the Time Bokan series by Tatsunoko Productions. The series succeeded Time Bokan and preceded Zenderman; it was the final series to be produced by company founder Tatsuo Yoshida prior to his death.

Our toy is primarily made of heavy diecast metal or “Gokin”.  Then the toy is superbly painted with baked on enamel and accented with chrome.  The cat isn’t quite out of the bag, but these will keep increasing in value.  They just can’t make toys quite like this for an affordable price anymore.  Safety standards don’t allow such missile launchers either.

So that said, beware, this is an addictive toy and an addictive area of collecting.  Japanese anime and robot related toys made in diecast (-breath-) are simply incredible toys.  They also have jewelry like properties.  Then they are tough to find in such incredible condition.
