C.K.O Kellerman ca. 1930’s #MR-343 German Tin Lithographed Windup Dual Rider Motorcycle 

This piece is a ca. 1930’s tin, lithographed, windup dual rider motorcycle MR-343 that was manufactured by Georg Kellerman & Co. (C.K.O., CKO) of Nuremberg, Germany.  

This CKO motorcycle when wound on the underside it runs in an S pattern as the back rider shifts position from left to right. This is a working piece; the tires are slick and don’t grip on smooth floors but the mechanism works strong and as it should.  

This CKO/Kellerman tin, lithographed, windup motorcycle is in excellent all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual fading, patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. It is approximately 5 ¾” L x 1” W x 3 ¼” H. A brief history of CKO/Georg Kellerman & Co. of Nuremberg, Germany: 

Georg Kellerman and Company was founded in Nuremberg, Germany in 1910 by former Karl Bub employee Georg Kellerman. Kellerman operated under the trademark C.K.O/CKO and specialized in manufacturing clockwork tin motorcycle and other penny toys.   

In 1931, after Georg Kellerman’s death his son Willy took over the company until it shuttered in 1979.
