This piece is a ca. 1936-1942 tin, lithographed, windup K-345 shooting warplane with machine gun sounds sparking airplane toy that was manufactured by Georg Kellerman & Co. (C.K.O., CKO) of Nuremberg, Germany.    

This working piece comes with its original windup key, sparking machine gun, and swing out wings.  

This piece is in excellent all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories and wear that are to be expected from age and play. A brief history of CKO/Georg Kellerman & Co. of Nuremberg, Germany:     

Georg Kellerman and Company was founded in Nuremberg, Germany in 1910 by former Karl Bub employee Georg Kellerman. Kellerman operated under the trademark C.K.O/CKO and specialized in manufacturing clockwork tin motorcycle and other penny toys.       

In 1931, after Georg Kellerman’s death his son Willy took over the company until it shuttered in 1979.
