M&K Tin Merry-go-Round Tin windup with Children

Our latest tin windup harkens from old world Germany circa the late 1800’s or possibly first years of the 20th century.  It is a M&K aka Muller & Kadeder windup with kids.  What a wonderful motif!

The circular roof has elaborate lithograph decorations and the company’s hallmark on it.  Off the top canopy are suspended three swinging chairs and three kids inside.  Crank up the windup and you get a fast spinning action with the kids flying around in “fun”.   The action works perfectly.

These delicate toys tended to be recycled for World War 1, then later, World War 2, so they are rare treasures.  The tin lithography normally rusts, so this is a well preserved treat.
