Gunthermann (Possible) Santa Mail Tin Crank Motion German Relic *SOLD*

Gunthermann (Possible) Santa Mail Tin Crank Motion German Relic

This is a tin crank motion Santa Mail German relic possibly S.G. Gunthermann of Nuremberg, Germany. This is hard to attribute to anyone specifically as this was brought back from WWII by a veteran who found it in a burnt-out factory in Nuremberg, Germany.

When the handle is cranked Santa leans forward to take mail out of the mailbox. We feel this is a great toy to include as it has a history and may be a one-of-a-kind relic from WWII. Included, is a hand drawn rendition of what we think it looked like when it was not burnt.

Our example of this tin crank motion Santa Mail toy is in fair all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual fading, patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and ravages of war. It is approximately 5” L x 3” W at the base and 7” H. We encourage you to peruse our photos to further determine quality and condition.
