Japanese “MY FRIEND” Prewar 1935 Chrysler Airflow Tin Lithographed Windup Car *SOLD*

Japanese “MY FRIEND” Prewar 1935 Chrysler Airflow Tin Lithographed Windup Car

We have for you a toy that you won’t see very often. This is a prewar Japanese tin lithographed clockwork driven 1935 Chrysler Airflow that was manufactured in Japan. The bottom is marked in barely discernible letters that say, “Made in Japan” and “My Friend”.

This fragile, tin, clockwork driven windup Chrysler Airflow is red lithographed tin with lithographed tires and spare tire, and polished tin grill, hood ornament, running boards, and bumpers. It comes with what we believe to be its original windup key. When wound with this key while holding the back tires, upon release the car moves forward. Ours works as it should.

Our example of this Japanese “My Friend” 1935 Chrysler Airflow tin car is in great all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. This is approximately 4 ½” L. This would be a great and impressive addition prewar tin collection. We invite you to view the photos to further determine quality and condition.
