Kilgore ca. 1950’s Kit Carson 50 Shot Repeating Cap Guns No. 2552 with Holsters Western Toy *SOLD*

Kilgore ca. 1950’s Kit Carson 50 Shot Repeating Cap Guns No. 2552 with Holsters Western Toy

These are a set of ca. 1952 Kit Carson 50 shot repeater cap guns No. 2552 that were manufactured by Kilgore Manufacturing Company of Westerville, Ohio. They also come with a ca. 1950’s child’s leather western style holster set.

A catalog for the cap guns says it is a, “Automatic 50-shot repeater made of diecast zinc alloy plated with bright silver effect finish. Has deeply embossed black plastic handle grips and efficient feeding unit that eliminates slipping of roll caps. Thumb operated lever controls automatic opening of barrel for reloading.” The plastic grip does have a piece missing, and the guns themselves are have honest play wear. You can tell these were really treasured. The holsters that come with it are real leather and still have the original sales sticker on them. The guns operated as they should, although we did not load them with caps.

Our example of this Kit Carson 50 shot repeater cap guns No. 2552 with holsters are in good all original condition with no restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. The guns are approximately 9 ¼” L. We invite you to view the photos to further determine quality and condition.
