What a great windup!  It is a very large tin windup race car from Marklin.  Of course they can’t have just a windup, so Marklin added a brake (lever by the driver’s seat).  Then they needed expensive detailing, so you get rubber tires and a very high gloss blue paint job.

Condition is near new.  The windup works perfectly with just two turns, let alone many turns.  It feels as if the tin car could go for hours.

This toy was sold in Germany at their Marklin store in the 80’s, so you will note the non-badged variation along with the silver presentation case with buckle.

Marklin does tin toys right, and this is a large car for the collector that almost has it all.  Our variation appears to have just been sold in the Museum and at a lower production.  Black interior detailing
