Marx Pinocchio Windup Tin Toy Vintage Tin

If you haven’t wound up this line of tin windups, you are missing out!  Pinocchio has his eyes rotate side to side, then the entire body pivots side-to-side at the ankle.  It needs help to pivot, as the mechanism only works sporadically.

The lithography is luscious Marx color and does a great job capturing the wooden boy.  The pails and suspenders and bow make him look as innocent as can be.  The nose appears to be at a “minor lie” length; the move made it grow more as he lied.

Condition is good original with corrosion on one arm and play wear.
