Meccano Ltd. Dinky Toys Diecast Daimler US Army Red Cross Ambulance 

We have for you a diecast, olive drab Daimler US Army Red Cross ambulance manufactured by Dinky Toys/Meccano Ltd. of Liverpool England.  

This diecast Daimler ambulance is a nice find indeed. Made between 1954-1955, it was made for the U.S. market and was never sold boxed, only in trade packs. The black rubber tires are still intact, but as per usual with toys of this age they may have petrified, warped and cracked. We did notice some petrification and some warping from sitting in one spot for so long while on display. 

Our example of this Dinky Toys/Meccano Ltd. Daimler ambulance is in very good original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and display. It is approximately 3 ¾” L.
