Minic Vauxhall Tourer by Tri-Ang Toys For Sale

Our uniquely English toy is a Vauxhall car, or Tourer model car.  It has the four seats for an open countryside tour.

To be more precise it is a Minic made car, part of the company Tri-Ang.  The model is 17M.  Again, this is not you typical U.S. style of naming or vehicle.  However cut through this and you have a superior smaller scaled car that is slightly bigger than most U.S. Tootsietoys, and with a windup motor to boot.

Our example is boxed and has light wear.  Condition is very good with the typical corrosion on the bumpers; these Minic cars had an extremely thin finish and were almost raw metal, typical aging.  Then the rubber tires are in good shape as is the box.  On the window screen the right bottom is not attached to the cowl and we aren’t sure if it was made this way.  We see light chipping to the rear license plate bottom.

Seats have a very unique brown and black swirl finish that reminds us of faux-wood.  Overall finish is a bright black and red with the nickel accessories.

The toy runs well and is a superior example of a fragile toy.
