Original Smith-Miller, Inc. “Smitty Toys” Lyon Van Lines Mack Delivery Truck 

We have for you an all original die cast, dual rear-wheeled Lyon Van Lines Mack delivery truck manufactured by Smith-Miller “Smitty Toys” of Santa Monica, California.

The black rubber tires are still intact, but as per usual with toys of this age they may have petrified, warped and/or cracked. We did not notice any warping or cracking on this piece. The wheels roll smoothly as they should. The decals are all present, but may some have scratches, scuffs or missing parts. Rear doors open and close smoothly. This is an earlier version of this model, due to the radiator cap, which is missing from later versions of this type of truck.    

Our example of this Smith-Miller “Smitty Toys” Lyon Van Lines Mack delivery truck is in great all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. It is approximately 20 ½” L x 6″ W x 8 ½” H. Smith-Miller Toys was founded in 1945 in Santa Monica, California and stayed in business for about 10 years. Smith-Miller, Incorporated producer of arguably the finest toy trucks ever made in the United States, or anywhere else for that matter, has produced more than 75 different toy trucks. When the company ceased production in the mid-1950’s the factory sat defunct a little over 23 years before being purchased by Fred Thompson in 1979.
