Oro of Brandenburg/OROBR Reil Tin Lithographed Windup #207 Ocean Liner 

We have for you a very rare attic find tin, windup, lithographed #207 Ocean Liner manufactured by Oro/OROBR of Brandenburg, Germany possibly Reil. 

When wound this ocean liner moves forward. As with many older windups the mechanism works with a bit of encouragement when picked up, as the spring is weak. We didn’t want to overwind it, so we only gave it a few winds to check it. We did notice the masts with flags are a replacement, as is the flag at the back. There are no lifeboats on this piece, but with fragile tin this is to be expected with age and play. 

Our example of this Oro ocean liner is in great condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. It is approximately 11” L x 2 ¼” W.
