Popeye HandCar Windup Toy by Marx **SOLD**

This is a rare beauty, brought to us by the family.  The Marx Popeye Handcar isn’t known to most collectors, as few have survived.

Marx made this handcar in a similar manner to Lionel Handcars (with Mickey and Santa), but in this case Marx used licensing.  Popeye and Olive Oil Hang on as this tin cart unwinds down the tracks.  The box and toys are original.  Popeye and Olive have droopy rubber issues, but are some of the nicest examples and survivors we have seen.

This toy was placed with a museum and has a happy home & the history will be preserved.
