This tin, lithographed windup Punchinello theater featuring Punch & Judy, and the devil was manufactured by Rühl of Germany.  

When wound with its dedicated key this Punchinello theater devil figure on the left starts fighting with Punch while Judy is watching the action and while the battle rages on a bell rings. This piece is marked with the Rühl logo on the front of an “R” in a diamond.

Our example of this Linemar climbing sailor is in great original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece may show the usual patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play.
