Suzuki & Edwards (S&E, SE) Tin Lithographed Windup Mechanical Twist Dancer S-1211 in Box 

This piece is a vintage tin, lithographed, windup “Mechanical Twist Dancer” S-1211 in Box that was manufactured by Suzuki & Edwards Co. Ltd. (S&E, SE) of Japan.  

This trendy twist dancer has a lithographed top and arms with plastic shoes, as well as, a felt hat and pants. The clothing has some age spots as can be expected. When wound with the dedicated key, the dancer begins to twist back and forth as a drum beat plays. The windup mechanism works as it should and the drum beat is strong. 

This Suzuki & Edwards “Mechanical Twist Dancer” is in excellent all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. The box is in great condition. There is no rust and the bottom is very clean. This piece shows the usual patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and display.
