Tonka Tiny-Tonka Pressed Steel No. 824 “Crazy A’s” Boxed Set

This is a vintage pressed steel Tiny-Tonka Crazy A’s Set No. 825 in box that was manufactured by Tonka Toys of Mound, Minnesota.

This set comes with “4 souped-up Model A’s”:

The box is in fair to good condition showing some repairs on the cracks. The original cellophane is there but is loose in spots.

These pieces are in very good all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. These pieces show the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that is to be expected from age and play. These are all approximately 4 ¼” L. We invite you to view the photos to further determine quality and condition.

A brief history of Tonka Toys of Mound, Minnesota:

Tonka was begun by Lynn Everett Baker, Avery F. Crounse, and Alvin F. Tesch in 1946, but it didn’t start out as Tonka; instead Mound Metalcraft in 1946.   Tesch re-engineered some old toy concepts left by their building’s previous tenants and dubbed the toys “Tanka,” which means “big” in the Dakota Sioux tongue.
