Unusual German ca. Early 1900’s Asian Themed Tin Lithograph Coin/Penny Bank *SOLD*

Unusual German ca. Early 1900’s Asian Themed Tin Lithograph Coin/Penny Bank

We don’t know a lot about this unusual, delicate and very small Asian themed penny bank. There are no markings but we have determined this piece to be most likely early ca. 1900’s and German in make. The bank is made of lithographed tin. The coin slot is in the top and is hinged at the roof to remove the coins. It is a still bank but you can move the two figures on the front back and forth on a pivot. The lithos are very good for the age with the usual fading, scratches, scuffs, and chips that can happen with age and use. There is what appears to be light surface rusting. This cute little bank approximately measures 2 ½” x 2 ¼”. We invite you to peruse the photos to get a better idea of quality and condition.
