Our truck drove in from Allentown and deserves a new home.  It is a perfectly proportioned toy truck (Camion in French) with driver and ready for your collection.

F Martin and his toy business evolved post World War I into new ownership- Victor Bonnet or VeBe Toys of France.  This VB tin windup is likely from the 1918 age range and all original and working.  There is paint loss to the roof, but it is otherwise in very good condition.  The windup looks very clean below, and even features a hand brake mechanism just the the side of the driver.

The front wheels have a detente that holds them straight or in a circle based on the position of the lever.

On the hood is an official Victor Bonnet logo in brass and on the truck bed is a painted logo also (no bootlegs allowed).

These truck toys are fun playthings and feature a hand painted driver.  It is ready for the next collector and prepared to haul a new load of miniature cargo.

Note that the Fernand Martin | Toymaker in Paris book notes that “…the Camion is more difficult to find” than the other service truck. It was made between the Great Wars.
