Vintage Celluloid/Plastic German Black Americana Native African Ornament

We haven’t seen many of these Black Americana ornaments before and due to the materials they were made out of many did not survive. This one is a celluloid/plastic ornament in the native African style that was popular from the 1900’s to the 1950’s. This one was manufactured in Germany. It has a top hat, metal hoop earrings, and around its waist is a real fur skirt.

Our example of this ornament is in good all original condition with no restorations, repairs, or touch ups. It is missing the ornament hook, but other than that it is a great display piece. This piece shows the usual patina, chips, dust, scuffs, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and display. It is approximately 5 ¾” in height. This would be a great addition to any celluloid/plastic collection or Black Americana collection. We invite you to view the photos to further determine quality and condition.
