We have for you a vintage #30616 Buckaroo Banzai Jet Car mystifying illusion promotional toy that was manufactured by B. Shakman & Co. of Japan for Sherwood Productions, Inc.    

This is a toy that was made for the cult classic movie Buckaroo Banzai. Buckaroo Banzai and his mentor Dr. Tohichi Hikita perfect the “oscillation overthruster”, a device that allows an object to pass through solid matter. Banzai tests it by driving his Jet Car through a mountain. This toy shows that scene and promises a “Mystifying Illusion”. The instructions say to “Place key in the hole and hold index finger on top of the Key. Move lever on side and s-w-o-o-s-h”. The jet car passes thru the key like magic! This has been tested and working. 

This piece is in great all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. This is approximately 2″ in diameter.
