Lindstrom Tin Lithographed Windup Bathing Beauty on Scooter
Our bathing stunner is from the lesser known Lindstrom Toys of USA. We estimate it as a late 1930’s toy and possibly a post war design. Ladies on scooters would have been controversial in earlier times, especially with swimsuits.
The tin scooter appears all original with the lithograph in very good to excellent condition. The windup mechanism winds counter clockwise and works briefly before slipping.
These are extremely tough toys to find and condition on this one is excellent. Provenance is from the Dossett Collection.

Based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, 1913-early 1940s (resumed production after WWII).
Lindstrom produced mechanical toys, games and phonographs made of pressed-steel and tin.
