Momoya Shoten Tin Lithographed Windup Man Rowing Boat Set Japanese Chinese Toys 

We have these interesting, tin, lithographed, windup men rowing a boat/rowboats that were manufactured by Momoya Shoten of Japan (large) and an unknown Chinese maker (small). 

The larger boat is wound with a dedicated key and when wound this working man in boat rows his oars. The small one has the same action and is working. The small boat is wound with a key, the key is not original.  

Our example of these pieces is in great all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. These pieces show the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that is to be expected from age and play.
