Tin Toys For Sale
Tin toys for sale; we feature all tin toys from ships to cars to character tin windups. They are made of thin steel sheets plated with tin, hence “tin toys”
These tin toys came from the evolution of heavy to ship items like cast iron into something lighter. They were also an evolution from wooden toys and consider cheaper, dating from around 1850 and believed to have come from Germany at first.
Later tin toy makers like Bing and Marklin evolved from hand painted tin toys into lithographed toys. Makers like Arnold and Fleischmann and Marx mastered the art of tin toy mass production, switching from painting to lithography.
Below are some great tin toys for sale. Please contact us at toys@antiquetoys.com if you have antique tin toys or vintage tin toys for us to review or sell.
