Antique 1930’s Kingsbury Toys Battery Op. & Windup Roadster Pressed Steel with Lights

If you love pressed steel, battery operated toys or windups, you will love this one. It gives you the best of all worlds! We have for you a ca. 1930’s pressed steel windup and battery operated Roadster from Kingsbury Manufacturing Company of Keene, New Hampshire.

When wound up you can steer the front wheels whichever way you want to and it goes forward. Put a battery in and the front lights light up to show you the way. We tested this and the original lights work and the windup is strong. The rumble seat can be opened and closed by hand. The windshield has its original “glass”. It has its original rubber tires that are in great shape for its age. You can see some of the tires are slightly misshapen from being displayed by sitting directly on its tires before we had it. The tires are marked “Kingsbury Toys PAT’d Keene N.H. U.S.A.” The wheels roll wonderfully and the axles are straight. The headlights are the original ones that came with the car.

Our example of this Roadster is in good all original condition with no restorations, repairs, breaks or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, chips, scuffs, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. It is approximately 12 ¾” x 5″ x 4 ¾”.
