Antique ca. Early 1900’s German Artifact Hand Stamped Hand Painted Windup Water Pump/Well Steam Accessory

This antique early 1900’s windup water pump is a true German artifact. We were unable to find one like it or attribute it to any one maker, but this truly is an engineering marvel with all of the features of German makers of the time. This piece is hand stamped tin and hand painted. The windup is strong and when wound it goes even acting like a bit of a perpetual motion machine when you hand spin the wheel. We did not try it with water to see if it still “pumps”, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it did indeed work.

Our example of this German water pump is in good original condition with no restorations, repairs, breaks or touch ups. This piece is in good overall condition for its age and shows the usual patina, chips, dust, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are normally found with age and display. It is approximately 8 ¾” L x 3 ¾” W x 7 ¼” H. This would be a great addition to any windup or steam accessory collection. We invite you to view the photos to further determine quality and condition.
