Fischer Nifty Toys Tin Lithographed Windup “Main Street Trolley” German Toy

We have for you a tin lithographed wind up Nifty Toys “Main Street Trolley” manufactured by Georg Fischer of Nuremberg, Germany.

This sweet trolley features a tin lithographed trolley with a windup mechanism and dedicated windup key. When wound the trolley moves forward, the bell rings, and the doors open and close. We tested it and it works like a charm. Ours includes the conductor and the doors open and close. It is marked “D.R.P. 257554”.

This piece is in very good condition. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. This is approximately 9 ¼” L. We encourage you to examine the photographs to further determine condition and quality.

Georg Fischer founded his business in the early 20th century in Nuremberg, Germany, and ceased production in 1958. Fischer specialized in tin penny and other novelty toys. After WWI, Mr. Fischer began using the trademark monogram “G.F”.
