Antique German Hessmobil Fly Wheel Tin Litho Two Seat Tourer Race Car Toy for Sale

We have for you today, this all original early 1900’s tin litho two seat touring race car manufactured by Hess in Germany. It is approximately 8 ¾” inches long (not including crank) x 3 ¾” inches wide. The car is propelled by a flywheel mechanism. The flywheel is operated with a dedicated crank at the front end of car. The flywheel mechanism works well and is strong.  The front wheels can be steered and the trunk door in the back opens.  It says “HESSMOBIL” on the left hand side of the engine compartment and has the letter “H” on the trunk and both sides of the passenger compartment. As with most toys of this age it does show wear from age and play.
