Fine original condition Carette tin boat for sale.  Our toy has heavy play wear but represents an elegant 1920’s (if not earlier) boat design.

Our model has its own stand as well as two stacks and windup mechanism.

Georges Carette (1861-1954) moved from France to Germany in the late C19th, and founded his company Georges Carette & Cie. in the toymaking region of Nuremberg.

Originally manufacturing tinplate toys, Carette graduated to also producing steam-powered models in the early C20th
