J & E Stevens Cast Iron Clown Bank *SOLD*

Clown Bank Cast Iron by J & E Stevens For Sale

Classic Clown Bank by J&E Stevens, all original, for sale.  Our toy comes from an attic in the Dakotas and is new to market.  The Cast Iron bank has simply been dusted and presented in its beautiful red, yellow, light yellow, and white coloration.

First the kid would turn the clown and ratchet up a helical spring.  Then the kid would deposit a coin and then press the side lever.  The Stevens Clown top would then spin around in circles, finally getting enough energy to flip up and do a hand stand.  Our toy works, but we chose to not spin it too far for fear of damaging the spring (and chip the face).

Aesthetically, this is one of the most beautiful cast iron toys and it has a statue like presence; it is perfectly displayed with its three foot pedestal.
