Dayton ca. 1905 Pressed Steel Friction Dayton Hillclimber Fire Engine Ladder Truck *COMING TO AUCTION MAY 4TH*

Dayton ca. 1905 Pressed Steel Friction Dayton Hillclimber Fire Engine Ladder Truck

This is a circa 1905 cab-over early Dayton steel fire ladder truck. The toy comes with a proper driver and a nice working bell. The friction drive works properly. The ladders pop up properly with spring and appear to be original. The wheels have the early gearing form on them and work smoothly. The cab-over form is quite nice, and the toy is featured as the first full-page color plate in the Dayton Ohio Maker’s book by Gallagher and Cummings. Approximately 19″ long.
