Early Surfer Trophy & Hood Ornament from Hawaii

This one has been a challenge.  In the early 20’s surfer events weren’t the same product that they are now.  Often events were crudely organized and the trophies sometimes came from the big island tourist shops.

In this case, the previous owner was a surfer and claimed this was on top of his trophy.  It came from a time where you might want to take your trophy and swap out your car’s hood ornament.

You will find a brass cast figure and then the necessary mounting holes below.
