Gebrüder Bing ca. 1898 Brass Vertical Steam Engine Mechanical Workshop #8904 German Steam Toy *SOLD*

Gebrüder Bing ca. 1898 Brass Vertical Steam Engine Mechanical Workshop #8904 German Steam Toy

This is a really interesting ca. 1898 brass vertical steam engine mechanical workshop on wood plinth that was manufactured by Gebrüder Bing of Nuremberg, Germany.

This beautiful vertical Bing steam engine comes with a 1-wick burner and is in original condition. This workshop is composed of a transmission, 2 revolving benches, 1 drill press, and a grindstone. We did not try to run it; however, it looks ready for action after a proper inspection. It is nailed onto a wooden plinth that sets off the toy with a beautiful backdrop.

Our example of this Bing brass vertical steam engine mechanical workshop is in excellent all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. It is approximately 27 ½” L x 5 ¾” W x 9″ H. We encourage you to examine the photographs to further determine condition and quality.
