German Wood and Suede Horse Platform Pull Toy

Our antique German horse toy comes with a great set of cast iron wheels and wooden base.  Construction is suede on a carved body & with peg feet, going into the base.  the toy likely had a wooden pull handle.

-Size is just under 12″ length of the base by 12″ high.

The suede covering has aging and is brittle.  The mane, tail, and ears need to be replaced; or not.  We chose to leave the toy as-is for the next owner. Horse hair can easily be added again as can leather ears.

Pull toy horses were very popular around turn of the century, and based on the estate, we date this one to about 1910.  This came from Indiana and has glass eyes, so we believe it a German import.
