Hot Rod Friction Tin Car Piston Action by Nomura

This fun tin car manufactured by Nomura (T.N) strays slightly away from the serious realm, and really brightens up any shelf.

The car, which looks to have been modeled after a 30s Ford, has an open engine bay filled with lithographic detailing.  It also has moving pistons and a spinning cooling fan!

The stout body has the typical hot rod red coloring with white text accents, a yellow bench seat, and chromed grill/windshield frame/rear bumper . The dash is also detailed in litho and is equipped with a tin steering wheel.

The Rubber wheels are in great shape, and look great on their litho’d spoke hubcaps.

The front wheels are powered by a friction motor which is slightly sluggish, but is fully operating.  The pistons and fan move as the car makes a “plunking” noise.

Very light scratching and minor loss is present on the original paint, as well as some light oxidation on the grill.

Original Box shows some mild edge wear, notable on the bottom stapled edges.  The artwork is lively and really adds to the car’s display value.
