Joustra Air France Six Engine “Croix Du Sud” F-ALBA Tin Lithographed Windup Toy with Battery Light

We have for you a tin, windup, lithographed Air France Six Engine “Croix Du Sud” F-ALBA with battery powered fuselage light manufactured by Joustra Toys of Strasbourg Neudorf, France.

This is a hard to find working large Air France plane with six engines, all original six props, detachable wings, mechanical motor, battery lighted fuselage & two tin Flags. When wound the plane moves forward and all of the props spin. There is a switch for the light and a stop and go lever for the windup. The tires are rubber and in excellent condition. The key is a replacement key. We were unable to test the light under the fuselage as we do not have the correct European batteries to test it.

Our example of this piece is in excellent, near mint/dead stock, all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. The lithographs are in excellent overall condition with the usual dust, patina, scratches, scuffs, surface rust and chips that are seen with age and display. This plane is very large with a wingspan of approximately 23 ½” and 20 ¾” nose to tail. This would be an impressive addition to any collection.
