Marklin/Gebrüder Maerklin ca. 1910 Dampfmaschine XL Grinder Schleifstein 4253/2 Grindstone Steam Toy Accessory for US Market

This is a  ca. 1910 steam engine/dampfmaschine cast iron, extra large, grinder steam toy accessory 4253/2 manufactured for the US market by Marklin/Maerklin/Gebrüder Maerklin of Goppingen, Germany.

This tiny but mighty grinder smoothly turns when cranked by hand. This would be a great addition to any steam engine work shop set. You can see in person that there are very faint Marklin markings on the side of the grinder.

Our example of this Maerklin/Gebrüder Maerklin live steam toy accessory is in very good all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. It is approximately 2 ¼” D (at the base) x 5 ¼” H and 4” L x 1 ¾” (at the top grinder section). This would be a great and impressive addition to any steam collection. We invite you to view the photos to further determine quality and condition.
