McLoughlin Bros. A Frog He Would A Wooing Go Standing Mr. Frog Figure

This large 11 ½” H Mr. Frog standing figure is a very early American paper lithograph toy ca. 1897-1898 that was manufactured by McLoughlin Bros. of New York City, New York to accompany their nursery rhyme book “A Frog He Would A Wooing Go.”

Mr. Frog probably could be purchased as a set with other characters from the book to complete an alphabet set as the reverse side of Mr. Frog has part of the alphabet on it with examples of words beginning with those letters.  Mr. Frog is in great all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups.
