Tonka Pressed Steel No. 350 Pink Jeep Surrey
“Totally” what you need- Pink Party Jeep By Tonka!
Of course you don’t need this, but it is a designer piece. It is a lady’s toy. It could also be a PARTY Jeep for anyone! I can see a mini Ken and Barbie here….
Condition of this toy is good, with a post missing as well as a chipped bracket holding the striped top. The top has Fringes!
Top, Fringes, wheels, and all the toy is original. It is truly a Tonka Jeep experiment a-la 1960’s Elvis fun.
OK, so I’m channeling the vibes of PinkyPie from My Little Pony. Enjoy this diversion and adopt away!
A brief history of Tonka Toys of Mound, Minnesota:
Tonka was begun by Lynn Everett Baker, Avery F. Crounse, and Alvin F. Tesch in 1946, but it didn’t start out as Tonka; instead Mound Metalcraft in 1946. Tesch re-engineered some old toy concepts left by their building’s previous tenants and dubbed the toys “Tanka,” which means “big” in the Dakota Sioux tongue.
