Tommy Toy Police Patrol Lead Slush Truck For Sale

Our lead slush toy is quite large for its day of dimestore toys, 4″.  Its green is unusual as is the embossed “Police Patrol” logo on the side.

We at first suspected it a Barclay slush mold lead toy, but have found an attribution to Tommy Toys.  The cast in rear guard, holding the back door, is a great touch.

 

Tommy Toy History

Based in Union City, New Jersey, Tommy Toy made diecast, slush-molded lead vehicles between late 1935 and late 1938.

Barclay Manufacturing acquired Tommy Toy sometime between late 1938 and mid-1939.
