This piece is a tin lithographed tin penny toy #8 race car vehicle that was manufactured by Rico of Alicante, Spain.   

This Rico tin penny #8 race car is in good all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. It is approximately 4 ¾” L. It is an amazing little survivor! A brief history of Rico of Alicante, Spain:  

We don’t know a lot about Rico but we do know it was founded in the 1930’s in Alicante, Spain and ran until about the 1950’s. Rico specialized in tin penny toys and tin mechanical autos and airplanes under the trademark of “RSA.”
