Our creepy cool Schoenhut Roly Poly is being offered due to its original condition and, likely, for a restoration project.  It was rescued from a Florida shop and needs proper care and preservation.

What we noted was that this is the extra large, largest, version of the clown Roly Poly and a sought after variation.  Our toy is just under 16″ and hand molded paper mâché.  It was then hand painted with an expert hand.

Condition is quite poor with split seams and chipping.  -Paint loss throughout.  The bottom weighted section is out of round.  Then a faint music bell and weight can be heard inside along with loose pieces inside.

Our hope is that the toy is preserved or, simply appreciated as a survivor.  -Or it represents an entry into Schoenhut collecting at an entry price.   At about 110 years in age these just don’t show up.
