Structo Red Steel Dump Truck *SOLD*

Our well used original Structo truck has seen better days but is a great truck! It has the roughness and patina of being used but well taken care of. Its open cab traces to the very early 20’s and has a Scheible or Dayton Toys feel to it.

Note the original brass radiator cap detail, the orange inset wheels which add flair, hood louver pressings, and the small metal headlights mounted on the cowl. It has some desirable early features.

Double dump handles work well and wheels roll. Each wheel has a loose fit from play wear. The sticker up front is original with wear. The paintwork has chips and scrapes from use.

Below deck, we see screws used to hold the cab on. This may or may not be original, we can’t tell. They look like period pieces from a parent (or just a primitive American toy maker).

Despite this hard evaluation, the toy is a great early American truck and comes in resale red. It works, and is a very reasonable piece to add to your collection. Without primer, it is a wonder it has survived and few surface these days.
