Tonka Sand and Gravel Aerial Bucket and Dump Truck

Our Tonka Toy is literally a full quarry style playlet with an aerial bucket and truck; what a fun toy!

The toy is all original and purchased from its owner who meticulously kept it nearly untouched.  Round Mound, MN Tonka stickers are intact as is the Aerial Bucket sticker.  Chains are original as is the entire set.

We see a truck in near mint condition with a slight chip to one oval sticker.  There is a slight wave to the dump gate, but the truck bed is in immaculate condition.

The Aerial set is sparkling with the set moving right to left properly and raising and lowering the bucket. Condition is excellent there too. It is approximately 20″ H 20-25″ L x 7″ W (aerial), 13″ L (truck)

As with all Tonka Toys, it is often about condition, and condition here is tops!

“In mid 1955, Mound Metalcraft moved into a new manufacturing facility that was required to handle their ever increasing product line and an insatiable appetite by consumers for Tonka trucks. In very short order, a 50,000 square foot addition was added to the new manufacturing facility. Tonka Toys indeed was on the grow.

Read a 1956 article that was featured in TOYS and NOVELTIES magazine. Although the Tonka Toys name appeared on all products manufactured by Mound Metalcraft from 1947 on, Mound Metalcraft, Inc. did not change its name to Tonka Toys, Inc. until January 3, 1956.”
