Turner Fire Hook and Ladder Truck, 1935 For Sale

Our Hook and Ladder truck is a beautiful original toy from a soon to pass Turner company of Ohio.  This was a 1935 toy that was well made with a ringing bell on lever, two detachable ladders, and a raising ladder.

Tires are solid rubber and in good original condition.  Paintwork needs to be wiped down if someone wishes to oil and brighten it.

We don’t see these surviving often, and the raising ladder is quite a flawed idea.  There is barely any leverage to raise it, and the holes and wire tend to break or become dislodged.  Here we, just after the photos, put the holes and shaft in the proper position.

Note that identification guides have this as a Turner toy, but we see Dayton marked on the wheels (either due to Dayton, OH location or a branding/merger).
